You have nothing to lose and everything to gain from a dental consultation. We proudly serve patients hailing from Santa Fe, Taos, Los Alamos, and other New Mexico communities.

"The core values of our practice come down to, I think, three things: honesty, truthfulness, and relationships."

Stay Comfortable With Sedation Dentistry

For many patients, fear of pain can prevent them from seeking life-changing cosmetic and restorative dental care. However, your visit doesn't have to be uncomfortable.
We provide sedation dentistry, so that you can receive the healthy, functional teeth you've wanted for so long. At practice serving individuals throughout Santa Fe, Taos, and Los Alamos, we feature oral sedation, nitrous oxide sedation, and IV sedation.
Once we figure out the right option for you, we can skillfully and comfortably remove your tooth and place your dental implant.
A Typical Treatment Timeline For Same-Day Dental Implants
Our Santa Fe dentists can place implants in just a day for results that last a lifetime.
Same-day implants can shorten the time before your permanent restoration can be placed by as much as 50%.
Once the implant is placed, your healing process begins as the implant fuses with your jawbone. Maintaining proper care before and after surgery — including good hygiene and follow-up — helps ensure your implants heal successfully and last for years to come. With proper care, your implant can deliver long-term function and aesthetics.
More High Praise from a Santa Fe Patient
“Dr. Diego is a fantastic Oral Surgeon, and is very easy to speak, as well. My case is a bit odd, in that I have a limited mouth opening due to TMJ, and had extremely deep tooth roots. He performed my surgery in two visits, with healing time allowed after each one. He also does very thorough follow-up visits, and provides all the information you need, and some you just want, in an understandable way. I highly recommend him!”

About the Restoration Process
Your same-day dental implants are made to pair seamlessly with a natural-looking restoration. Before you visit us, let's clear up some common questions about placement.
What Types Are There?
We can coordinate with your dentist on several types of dental restorations, which will be secured by your implant.
They include dental crowns, which can replace one tooth; dental bridges, which can replace one to four teeth; and dentures, which can replace a full arch or your lower or upper teeth.
How Do You Coordinate?
During your treatment, we will coordinate with your dentist. This allows us to ensure that your lifelike restorations, like dentures, will fit comfortably and securely on the implants we place. We will also give you your own patient liaison during the implant process, so that you always have an experienced contact available for questions and concerns.
Can I Test My Restoration?
Yes, you will be able to test your restoration. Because it will fit much like your permanent prosthetic, you can make sure that it fits comfortably and meets your cosmetic goals.
Then Drs. Healy or Hurtado and your dentist can make adjustments before attaching the final restoration.
How Can I Take Care of My Dental Implants?
Same-day implants require the same kind of care as your teeth, making them fairly simple to maintain. To take care of them, you should:
Follow Instructions
Our dentists will give you instructions after your procedure. Following them–and reaching out immediately if you notice any problems–will allow you to heal properly after your same-day placement and extraction.
Brush Regularly
Make sure to brush regularly (at least twice a day), cleaning your gums and tongue as well as your teeth. Gum health is crucial for implant stability, and brushing can help prevent periodontal disease. It can also make additional procedures less likely.
